Spinach Bread Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 1 round loaf of crusty bread
  • 1 pkg (10 oz.) spinach; thaw, drain well, and chop
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 pkg Knorr Swisse Vegetable soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tin water chestnuts; chopped (optional)
  • 4 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 small onion chopped

Method

Mix all of the above together (except bread). Cut lid off bread loaf on a slant (bevel).

Tear out bite size pieces from inside, leaving a shell about 1 inch thick. Save bread chunks for dipping.

Fill loaf with mixture, put bread chunks around the loaf and serve.
