Italian Bread Wedges

Ingredients

  • Bread:
  • 2 ½ cups flour (625 mL)
  • 1 tbsp Fermipan instant yeast (15 mL)
  • 1 cup warm water (250 mL)
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable oil (30 mL)
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar (15 mL)
  • 1 tsp. Salt (5 mL)
  • Topping:
  • ¼ cup Italian dressing (50mL)
  • ¼ tsp. Salt (1 mL)
  • dash of pepper
  • ¼ tsp. Oregano (1 mL)
  • ¼ tsp. Garlic powder (1 mL)
  • ¼ tsp. Thyme (1 mL)
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (125 mL)
  • 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese (30 mL)

Method

Bread:

Mix all  bread ingredients in a large bowl. Knead in 1/2 cup flour if needed. Form a ball. Cover and let rise for 30minutes.

Punch down and spread on a pizza pan.

Topping:

Brush Italian dressing on dough. Mix spices together and sprinkle evenly on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan.

Bake at 400 -425 °F (215 °C) for 15 min.

Cut into wedges and serve.
